Science Olympiad is a nation-wide organization committed to quality science education. The Science Olympiad offers tournaments at the elementary, middle, and high school levels consisting of competitive events which promote problem-solving and inquiry-based learning. At Marco, we have been competing in the Orange County Regional competition for many years. Our Science Olympiad team consists of 15 dedicated 7th and 8th grade students who are enthusiastic and passionate about science. They are willing to go above and beyond what we learn in the classroom to prepare for competition with other middle schools. Students may be involved in events, such as building and testing a contraption (i.e. a bridge or a catapult).  They may also be conducting extensive research on a science topic, such as anatomy or ecology. The Science Olympiad events are challenging and rigourous tasks. We are proud that our students are able to meet these expectations.  Our Science Olympiad team represents a true commitment to academic excellence!
